The late Amnon Buchbinder was a film director, screenwriter, author and teacher. The Biology of Story grows out of his work as practitioner and thinker, across cinematic and literary, fiction and non-fiction, and academic and commercial fields. Buchbinder directed three narrative feature films. The first, The Fishing Trip (1998), was written by a student in one of his classes, made with a crew comprised largely of his students, on 16mm film with a budget so low he couldn’t afford rushes.
